The Jagger family has been spinning yarn in southern Maine since the 1880’s (and before that, in England). Uriah Jagger (first generation) came from England and worked as a supervisor in the Goodall mills in Sanford. His two sons started their own mill in 1898: Jagger Brothers. In 1956, the third generation moved the business to the mill building in Springvale (part of Sanford) where we still are today. Jagger Spun was started in the 1980’s (by David Jagger, fourth generation) to sell stock service coned yarns to weavers and small manufacturers. The Heathers were one of the first yarns in the Jagger Spun line.

Project Suggestions: This yarn is squishy and light-weight. Perfect for shawls, cowls, sweaters, hats, mittens and more.
